Biologically, how does taxine (from yew tree's) kill humans?
You string a flexible string from the ends of a yew limb, then take a wooden stick with a sharp rock tied on one end, and feathers on the other, pull back on the feathered stick and let it fly.
Reply:The technical article below says that taxines appear to attack heart cells resulting in heart failure. Taxine B, the most toxic, seems to act as a class I antiarrhythmic drug. The second site is the PubMed home page. You can type in your search there and get about 30 hits.
