How long do cuttings from a Yew hedge remain toxic and a danger to livestock?

every part as far as i know is toxic, causes a range of reactions from epilepsy to abortions to heart and liver failure etc. In homeopathic medicine it's given for a range of ailments from arthritis, gout and metabolic problems etc etc. It's currently undergoing tests as an effective cancer treatment. The yew remains poisonous for quite a time but I dont know for how long exactly.

juniper knows so listen to her
Reply:Even more toxic to EVERYTHING apart from sheep is dead ragwort. Yew cuttings remain toxic forever, best thing is to burn them.
Reply:Until dried

PS dont burn it unless you are going stay well away from the fire, Yew smoke has been know to be "trance inducing", meaning its not good to inhale as the poison will mess you up.
