Why do yew all think jesus was wite?

n one has even seen him!

Why do yew all think jesus was wite?
who cares whether he was white or not mainly he was a messenger of god that's what we need to know
Reply:I know where you're coming from......hey, maybe he wasn't..........I also know how hard it must be to be black in what seems to be a white person's world.

Black role models? Not too many huh? Kind of like you cannot be part of the club unless you're white.

I'm not black, but I suffer from a different kind of prejudice. Then again, I might be way off.......
Reply:By the region he lived in his skin tone would be brown...
Reply:Most of the reason that people think that Jesus was white comes from many of the great paintings of Jesus from the Renissance, where people thought that Jesus was white because they were white, and since most people didn't really see people of other races very frequently back then, and when they did, they viewed them with distrust. So they saw him as white, and the whole thing just stuck.

However, from a historical standpoint, Jesus was more than likely Arab or probably black. But since nobody made a picture of him, there is no way to be sure.
Reply:He was a jew. The catholics church was only too happy to try and make people believe he was white so that they could find it easier to persicute the jews!!!
Reply:no body has seen him but we all know that he was a Jew w/c makes him white.
Reply:I just want to see him one day, when ever its my time. And I want all of you to see him. And be with him always. If you don't believe in him, why take a chance not doing what he wont's and ask of us. And that is what you our doing, taking a big chance not believing. Don't wait till it's to late.
Reply:Are you using "baby talk" to ask your question?

Do you realize your poor spelling and grammar has not helped your question?

Why not re-submit it correctly and avoid a lot snippy answers like mine?
Reply:He's not exacly white. He's just of Middle Eastern image. Even without seeing him, there are desriptions of him, and documents with regards to his existence.
Reply:It's a misconception borne out of the artwork that depicted a fair skinned, blond, blued eyes Jesus. The fact is that no one really know as there's no written description of him, but it stands to reason that as a person indigenous to the region where he lived, he'd have had darker skin and hair.

Frankly, it doesn't really matter what color or ethnicity Jesus was, it's just a point for people to argue because they have nothing else to do.
Reply:i havent seen him so im

assuming that he is either

mixed or nothing.

doesnt he want equialty?
Reply:in reality he was probably middle eastern!
Reply:Blah. I think he would be black if he exsisted at all.
Reply:Because Christianity was founded as a European religion.
Reply:good question, I have never seen him, therefore I dont know.
Reply:Do you know any Black jews? I dont.
Reply:jesus was brown! does any one look white in the mis east to you?
Reply:It does not matter what color God is what matters is that He is God and is worthy to be praised.
